AI SEO / GEO Implementation
Implementation of audited findings: technical corrections, metadata and canonical handling, truthful structured data, and making content readable without JavaScript.
What you need to know first
- What problem does this solve?
- An audit has identified what is wrong, but the fixes span templates, server configuration and content, and they need someone who can implement them correctly rather than approximate them — a wrong canonical or a false structured-data claim is worse than none.
- What exactly do I receive?
- The agreed findings implemented and verified: correct status codes and canonicals, per-page metadata and robots directives that agree with server headers, structured data that reflects visible content, and substantive HTML served without requiring JavaScript. Verified by raw HTTP and in a real browser, with before-and-after evidence.
- How is it priced?
- Custom quoteThe fee is quoted for your requirement, because scope, systems and complexity differ in every case.Quoted from the audit findings and from what your platform actually permits. The effort is determined by your stack and release process, not by a page count, so a published figure would be meaningless.
- How long does it generally take?
- Confirmed in the written scopeDependent on your release process and on which changes your platform permits. Stated in the written scope once the findings are known.
- What happens next?
- Send an enquiry describing the requirement. We confirm whether an assessment is the right starting point, then set out its scope and fee in writing before any work begins. An enquiry is not an order: an engagement becomes binding only when it is expressly accepted, as set out in the Terms of Service.
Deliverables
- The agreed findings implemented
- Verification evidence: raw-HTTP and real-browser checks, before and after
- A record of any finding that could not be implemented, and the reason
- Handover notes so the corrections survive your next release
Included
- Technical corrections within the agreed scope: status codes, redirects, canonical URLs, robots directives
- Per-page title, description and heading corrections
- Structured data implementation, restricted to what is truthfully supported by visible content
- Making in-scope content available in server-delivered HTML where the platform allows it
- robots.txt and sitemap correction
- Verification and evidence
Not included
Stating the boundary is part of the offer. Anything here can usually be arranged separately.
- An audit — this service implements the findings of one
- Content writing or rewriting
- Link acquisition, guest posting or directory submission
- Fabricated structured data: no invented reviews, ratings, prices, awards, addresses or availability
- Any guarantee of a ranking position, of traffic, or of inclusion in AI-generated answers
- A platform migration or rebuild, unless separately scoped
Customer prerequisites
- A completed audit — ours or a comparable one whose findings are specific enough to implement
- A route to change the site: repository access, CMS access, or a development team to work with
- Agreement on which findings are in scope
Information and access we need
We will ask for these. Where the work needs access to a system, access is arranged and scoped with you rather than assumed.
- Access to the site’s codebase, CMS or platform configuration, as appropriate
- Your release and deployment process, and who approves a change
- A staging environment, where one exists
- Confirmation of which claims and facts may be expressed in structured data
Expected process
Assessment first
An implementation is quoted from an assessment, not from a description. If no assessment exists, that is the starting point.
Written scope and fee
What will be built, what is excluded, the revision allowance, the indicative timescale and the fee — agreed in writing before work starts.
Access and environment
Scoped access is arranged through your own identity and access management. We work in a test environment where one exists.
Build and review
Implementation with review points, so you see it working against real cases rather than at the end.
Handover
Documentation of what was built, how it behaves when something fails, and what you need to know to operate it.
Meetings, revisions and scope
- Meetings
- Meeting optional, at the delivery review (about 60 minutes)
- Revisions
- 1 revision included. One round of correction after verification. Findings outside the agreed set are a scope change.
- Scope
- Deliverables are limited to those expressly included in the agreed scope. Additional revisions, meetings, research or services outside that scope may require additional fees — see the Marketing Services Terms.
Frequently asked questions about this service
What happens if a proposed implementation is not feasible?
You are told, with the reason, and you are not charged for an implementation that cannot be delivered.
This is the main reason the Consulting catalogue separates an assessment from an implementation. The assessment is the paid piece of work that establishes whether something is practical, what it would take, and what it would cost. Its output is useful even when the answer is "not this way": it will say what does work, what the blockers are, and what a smaller or different change would achieve.
Where a recommendation depends on software, platforms, vendors, APIs or external suppliers, their availability and their decisions are outside our control — stated in Third-Party Dependencies.
What is AI SEO / GEO?
GEO — generative engine optimisation — is the practice of making public content readable, unambiguous and well-structured for AI systems that summarise and answer questions, alongside conventional search engines.
In practice that means the same disciplines that have always mattered, applied deliberately:
- content that answers a real question directly, in language a machine can parse without guessing
- a clean, crawlable technical surface: correct status codes, one canonical URL per page, substantive HTML rather than an empty shell that only renders after JavaScript
- structured data that reflects what is actually on the page
- internal linking that makes the relationship between pages explicit
- removing contradictions between what different pages claim
None of that is a mechanism for being cited. It removes the reasons a system would skip or misread your content.
Can you guarantee Google rankings?
No.
Search engines independently determine crawling, indexing, ranking, snippets, AI summaries and local results. SEO work is intended to improve relevant technical, content, authority and discoverability signals, but it cannot guarantee a specific ranking — this is stated in the Marketing Services Terms, which also record that rankings, traffic and impressions are not guaranteed.
Anyone guaranteeing a position is either buying ads, targeting a phrase nobody searches for, or not telling you the truth.
Can you guarantee inclusion in AI-generated answers?
No.
Whether an AI system retrieves, quotes or cites a page is decided by that system, using models and retrieval rules that change without notice and are not published. There is no submission process and no guarantee to give.
What the work does is remove the technical and editorial reasons a system would ignore or misread your content: thin or JavaScript-only pages, duplicate and contradictory copy, missing or false structured data, broken canonicals, and claims that cannot be substantiated.
Why do some services require a quote?
Because their effort is determined by your environment, not by our method. An implementation depends on how many systems are involved, what those systems support, how clean the existing data is, how many exceptions the process has, and who has to approve what.
A published figure for that kind of work would be a guess, and a guess in a price list is either too high for the simple cases or a source of change requests for the complex ones. Quoting it means the number you receive describes your requirement.
A quote-required service never displays a price on this website — not a "from" figure, and not a zero.
Is an assessment charged separately?
Yes. An assessment is its own service with its own fee and its own deliverable, and it is not a free pre-sales exercise.
That is deliberate. An assessment that is bundled into an implementation quietly pressures its own conclusion towards "yes, proceed". Paid for separately, it is free to conclude that the implementation should be smaller, different, or not done — which is frequently the most valuable thing it can tell you.
Where an assessment and a following implementation are commissioned together, any relationship between the two fees is stated in the written scope.
