Every promotional email sent by Immense Click should contain a clear and functioning unsubscribe mechanism.
The recommended footer language is:
You are receiving this message because you subscribed to Immense Click communications or because we are otherwise permitted to contact you. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link below.
Unsubscribe | Manage Preferences | Privacy Policy
Unsubscribing from marketing must not prevent necessary:
- security messages;
- transaction confirmations;
- account notices;
- course-access communications;
- service-delivery communications;
- legal notices;
- or other genuinely non-promotional messages.
Unsubscribe Requirements
An unsubscribe request should:
- not require payment;
- not require the user to create an account;
- not require unnecessary personal information;
- be honoured promptly;
- and prevent future marketing through the affected channel unless the person subsequently opts in again.
As an internal standard, Immense Click should suppress the address from promotional email immediately where technically practical, rather than waiting for the maximum period permitted under any particular law.
A suppression record may be retained after unsubscribe so that we remember not to send further marketing.
