1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small files or values stored by a web browser.

Websites may use them to:

  • maintain sessions;
  • remember preferences;
  • support security;
  • measure website usage;
  • or enable other functionality.

Related technologies may include browser storage and similar device-storage mechanisms.

2. Cookie Categories

Immense Click categorises technologies as:

Strictly Necessary

Used for essential functionality such as:

  • authentication;
  • security;
  • session management;
  • fraud prevention;
  • account functionality;
  • and remembering privacy preferences.

Analytics

Used to understand website usage and improve performance and usability.

Microsoft Clarity belongs to this category.

Marketing

Used for advertising, retargeting, advertising measurement, or comparable marketing purposes if such functionality is introduced.

Marketing consent is kept distinct from analytics consent where appropriate.

3. Microsoft Clarity

We use or intend to use Microsoft Clarity for analytics, heatmaps, behavioural measurement, and session replay.

Depending on our configuration and your consent choices, Microsoft identifies the following cookies as potentially associated with Clarity:

CookieCategoryPurpose
_clckAnalyticsStores a pseudonymous Clarity browser/user identifier and preferences for a website.
_clskAnalyticsGroups multiple page views into a Clarity session.
CLIDAnalytics / Microsoft serviceIdentifies when Clarity first encountered a browser.
ANONCHKMicrosoft serviceUsed in relation to Microsoft identifier and advertising-storage status.
MRMicrosoft serviceIndicates whether Microsoft's MUID identifier should be refreshed.
MUIDMicrosoft identifierIdentifies unique browsers across Microsoft properties and may have analytics or advertising-related uses depending on consent and configuration.
SMMicrosoft serviceSupports synchronisation of Microsoft identifiers across Microsoft-controlled domains.

Not every cookie will necessarily appear on every visit.

Microsoft may change cookie implementation over time.

4. Clarity Consent

We intend to use Microsoft's current consent framework so that analytics and advertising storage can be independently controlled.

Our intended default state is:

  • Analytics Storage — Denied
  • Advertising Storage — Denied

Analytics storage may be changed to granted after appropriate analytics consent.

Advertising storage should remain denied unless a separate marketing or advertising purpose is introduced and corresponding consent is obtained where required.

5. Essential Platform Cookies

Immense Click may also use cookies or browser storage necessary for:

  • authentication;
  • account security;
  • session continuity;
  • CSRF/security protection;
  • fraud prevention;
  • and privacy-preference storage.

The exact names of these technologies depend on our deployed infrastructure.

We will not publish invented cookie names. Our production cookie inventory should be updated when authentication, hosting, payment, analytics, or other infrastructure changes.

6. Cookie Preferences

Where applicable, users may choose:

  • Accept All
  • Reject Non-Essential
  • Customize Preferences

Essential technologies may remain active.

Analytics and Marketing should be separately configurable.

7. Changing Your Decision

You may change available choices through the Cookie Preferences control on our website.

You may also remove existing cookies using browser controls.

Deleting the preference record may cause the cookie banner to appear again.

8. Session Replay

Clarity may reconstruct user interactions to produce session replay.

We intend to mask sensitive fields and avoid recording readable passwords, payment credentials, authentication codes, and similarly sensitive information.

9. Updates

We may update this Cookie Policy where:

  • vendors change;
  • cookie names change;
  • purposes change;
  • new technology is introduced;
  • or applicable law changes.
